The latest models from Radical Sportscars – the world’s most prolific racing-sportscar manufacturer – will arrive in New Zealand shortly, with the appointment this week of Auckland-based GB Motorsports as Radical’s first New Zealand dealer.

Established in 1994 by Greg Brinck, a racer with success on two, four wheels and water, GB Motorsports have a proven track record, most recently as the Aston Martin Racing distributor for the region.

The Radical SR10 has only so far been teased digitally ahead of its full global launch, but already Radical New Zealand are gearing up for showcasing the first demonstrator stock of this and the recently-launched SR3 XX, the first time either will be seen in the Australasian market. The SR10 will be Radical’s most potent racecar yet, setting new standards for performance and usability in the hardcore track market.

The new SR3 XX is the latest and smartest iteration of Radical’s best-selling race car. The team will be supporting existing and new owners in New Zealand, including the existing racer base contesting the six-round New Zealand Sportscar Championship, alongside an extensive programme of trackday support at Hampton Downs on the North Island and Highlands Motorsport Park in the South Island.

Technical and trackside services, along with spares backup will be supported by Racelab, a fully equipped motorsports service workshop. Racelab are backed by a team of experienced technicians, led by Neil Garner who offers over 20 years’ experience across F1, GT3 and GT4.

Radical New Zealand is working with the teams at Hampton Downs and Highlands to package up their exclusive GT Club membership with Radical owners.  This gives access to the tracks for up to 80 days each year, as part of their GT Member Days programme, which includes a dedicated members lounge amongst many benefits. Radical New Zealand can offer the complete end-to-end Radical ownership package, with car sales, parts supply, technical & trackside support, professional race tuition, and track storage all available.

“It is a real privilege to be representing Radical Sportscars here in New Zealand,” said Greg Brinck. “The Radical is a track focused car and provides the ultimate driving experience for drivers of all skill levels. New Zealanders have a great passion for special cars and motorsport and Radical offers supercar performance and handling at a fraction of the cost. I am confident that we will have strong interest here.

“We have world class track facilities available to us in New Zealand. The Hampton Downs and Highlands GT Membership model provides an ideal platform for Radical owners.  We look forward to introducing prospective customers to Radical for the first time through our demonstrator program and over time, introducing a Radical race series like those currently running successfully around the world.”

“Radical has long harboured ambitions of representation in New Zealand, but it was important for us to pair with a business with a real understanding of, and trackside experience in the New Zealand motorsport community,” said Dan Redpath, Radical Global Sales Director. “In Radical New Zealand and Greg Brinck, we are confident that we have the right, dynamic partner to develop not only Radical’s presence in NZ, but also motorsport and recreational driving as a whole. With his comprehensive programme of trackdays, race tuition and existing championship support it’s a winning combination.”

Radical New Zealand is the latest in a raft of new Radical dealer appointments over the last 12 months. Representatives in the Philippines, Arizona and Australia West are the latest recruits to the network, with another significant territory to be announced within the next few weeks – watch this space.
